the greenhouse worship gathering returns!

Periodically, over the past two decades, the greenhouse worship gathering has sought to be a place of authentic worship in the south Texas region of the United States.

An actual greenhouse isn't a place of permanent planting. It's a specifically designed environment; a place of nurturing and care; a climate in which to be refreshed for a moment, for just a season, before returning to the harsh realities and elements of daily life.

Psalm 67 has served as a foundational guide as we've gathered through these years in at least these 5 specific ways:

1. As we gather, we desire to seek and sense the radiant glory of God, displayed most fully in the person of Jesus Christ.

May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us,
Psalm 67:1

2. We trust that this manifest presence of the glory of God, by His Holy Spirit, will so affect us that others, even other nations, will be directly impacted also.

that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.
Psalm 67:2

3. We hold as foundational the opportunity to express our praise and worship to God through the arts, primarily (though not exclusively) through music.

Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth.
Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
Psalm 67:3-5

4. We also give devoted attention to the Word of God, The Bible, by which we're blessed to be able grow in our faith and in His grace and truth.

The earth has yielded its increase;
God, our God, shall bless us.
Psalm 67:6

5. As we disperse from each gathering, we are determined to take the "top-line" blessing that we've received out into our "bottom-line" responsibility - living out the truth of the gospel of grace in whatever we do, however we live, and wherever we go, from our own individual neighborhoods and into all the earth!

God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him!
Psalm 67:7

These are some of the foundational principles that have and will continue to guide the greenhouse worship gathering.

IS THE GREENHOUSE WORSHIP GATHERING A CHURCH?

The greenhouse worship gathering is not a church. We simply seek to be a periodic gathering of worshipers, reaching across Christian denominational lines. We do not have "membership" and you cannot "join" greenhouse.

WHO IS ON THE STAFF OF THE GHWG?

Right now, no one serves on a paid staff. We are made up of a passionate team of volunteers who are committed to our vision.

The greenhouse worship gathering is hosted by the Founder and President of Reflections of Praise, Inc., David Guion, who currently serves as a Pastor and Leader of Congregational Music at the Everyday Christian Fellowship in Cibolo, Texas.

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?
